After a few months of planning, and following some quite rigorous building and shopfitting works by Tony Maher & Jon Barlow (the two Directors of the business), THE BOOKSHOP, Welwyn Garden City finally opened for business on Thursday 13th October 2011. THE BOOKSHOP, Welwyn Garden City represents a brand new concept in bookselling. Every single book that we sell is discounted - many at prices below those found on the sites of some of the leading online booksellers. All our prices are determined by the level of support provided by our suppliers.

We are an independent bookshop - and offer the very best that independent bookshops have to offer - great service & advice, a great, hand-picked range of books - as well as offering the facility to order any one of over 500,000 titles for overnight delivery. We accept book tokens and are a member of the Booksellers Association of Great Britain & Ireland.
